The arrangement of this Sgt. Pepper's opus is more a medley than an actual song, Michael misses a central falsetto note and badly mangles the lyrics (as near as I can tell he sang, "And though the news was rather small / Having read the book / Read! The! Book!"), though fortunately the vast majority of his voters will never notice. The judges flay him, though it was—at least in theory—a better choice for his rock-opera style than some recent weeks.
